Who ever heard of a singing drummer?! Just kidding ya
As you well know - I bloody love this song. Perfect guitars, perfect singing, perfect melody, perfect recording. Not much room for improvement there

I can definitely relate to the lyrics... almost like you are singing about me here... great job

"bloody love this song" as Fra said perfectly sums this up. The words kill me. This is just really, really good and I love it.

Holy Frig Who wrote the lyrics??? I just love the images created man, to steel a word from saetan: SAWEET! This is indeed romance The accompanying guitar has a very gentle sound and the lead guitar plays this lil' cuty melody, aaaaaa, sweetness and tenderness all around Awwweeee, hihihi, the bassline, THE BASSLINE Listen to this !!! That bassline is soooo amusingly sweet I just like the way the percussion is kept "fragile" in this song, not to overwhelm the sweet sound of this song Oooo, yeah, revival of the romance
Hahahaha, I can hear you people at the end of the track !!!!! hihihihihi

Wow...the opening is like guster and neil young had a mellow party.
Hey, I like this (The Neil and Guster thing definitely a good thing). As Borty said "Holy Frig "
Very smooth and relaxing...one of those songs I'd listen to if I were sad.

This is like riding in a train, looking out the window at things go by...going to your loved one that you have not seen for soooo long, not knowing and wondering if she's still into you.
This is so nice.

Mmmm I love your drums. Tasteful, and the record's raw enough to lend this baby a real natural intimacy, like some rundown coffeeshop local band with lotsa talent and heart. Fiona, you're one of the jolliest singers I've heard on Dm...you inject so much innocent, untainted joy and hope into your performances...It's like all the wonderful reasons it is to be young Heady praise, but not unwarranted...I could listen to you guys a helluva lot more than I do and still be very happy And yeah, lyrics are pretty hot in a downhome poetical sorta way. Rock on!

Familiar kind of intro
As for the music, I like the sweet groove in this, and especially the bassline. It's not my favourite of your performances, and the electric guitar sounds a bit out of tune at first, but I like how it hangs on well to a kind of "cool", mellow feeling all the way. I don't get tired of hearing those two chords so many times.
I love the interesting line: "intoxinating mix that I ain't never seen"
I know the feeling of the intoxinating mix, the feeling that there always seems to be something new to see in someone (and that the entire mix is completely new too), but that it may also feel a bit confusing at times, like you say, that you feel you don't really know the person.
The way I think about that now, is that it's not the 2000 miles that create that feeling, it can be there no matter how close two people are physically. I think intead, it's about that it's only two people.. Without the distance there's often a nearby world of friends and other people= a world those two persons share. And when that world becomes one, maybe that's when the intoxinating mix is no longer confusing, but instead facets of a beautiful, real person..
This song, with its sweet groove, made me think and get longwinded, hehe!

I really love this song.. there's just such a powerful hope and longing in it.. like when someone is always on your mind and the time you have together is never enough... You've captured those sentiments perfectly, as only you could.. Your lyrical style is honest and raw, there's a purity to it that makes it hit really hard and sink deep, and think this song is one of the best examples of that.. and the production is great.. the mix is 'produced' just enough to sound great, without losing any of that 'real performance' quality that you dirty hearts have... all these full band songs just make me want to be sitting in a pub watching you play.. and I'm sure I'm not alone on that.

Very nice Firefly. Your music has a maturity that a lot of people just can't seem to reach, even when they're trying. I do agree with theblacklodge that the lead guitar sounds a bit out of tune, but it doesn't really detract from the song, or the feel of the song. Your singing is just right on.

Lovely, lilting, sounds like a beautiful dream. The arrangement is awesome. The guitar sounds slightly out of tune to me though, which slightly spoils it, but only slightly. This is a truly wonderful song.
The drumming is spot on.
